Sebastián Prida seeks to positively impact global health through knowledge. Alongside Santiago Pérez, Mauricio Peón, Sebastián Salazar, and Ignacio Palafox, he co-founded Medu. It is the leading educational app for doctors in Spanish-speaking Latin America. This platform has been honoured with the prestigious “Las 100 PRO” recognition for entrepreneurship in Mexico and Latin America for two consecutive years and has also been a finalist in the Global EdTech Startup Awards.
Oloides makes reference to the oloid shape, which is a figure that rolls in a straight line such that its whole surface contacts the plane it is rotating on. It is based on two circles arranged perpendicular to one another. A soft and rhythmic figure, a metaphor for how Medu, education, and health must touch all surfaces to be truly whole.

Sebastián is also a columnist in “El Universal” and a member of the American Society of Human Genetics. Previously, he was the lead ambassador of Doctorpreneurs, an organization in the United Kingdom that promotes entrepreneurship and innovation in the health sector. Furthermore, he was Regional Medical Director at Medwave Software Solutions, Inc., a California-based healthcare technology company focused on global healthcare innovation.
He co-produced “Resiste Residente,” a documentary that explores mental health and the role of medical residents in the Mexican healthcare system. He is also part of “Colectivo Médicos en Formación,” an initiative that protects the rights of Mexican doctors.
He has a Medical Degree from Anáhuac University and has been recognized as an “Anáhuac México Graduate Leader.” Also, he has postgraduate studies in the Management of Health Institutions and Genomic Medicine. The latter MSc was completed at the University of South Wales, United Kingdom. Sebastián is an ambitious, creative, and impact-driven medical professional who wants to increase life expectancy and human health through technology in health education, disease prevention, and disease monitoring.
